Volunteer: LCTV is always looking for volunteers to help us with our programming. We have volunteer opportunities for in studio productions and local event coverage, but most often we need volunteers to run camera for Town Meetings and School Committee Meetings. There are regular meetings on Monday nights from 7 to 9pm as well as occasional other meetings on week nights which are usually 7 to 9pm.We encourage residents to volunteer whatever time they have to help us put these important meetings on television. Training is provided free of charge and usually takes no more than 30 minutes to an hour.

Internships: LCTV offers internships in television production, providing a great opportunity for hands-on experience with equipment in a real world television environment. Programs are available at 120 hours/semester or 240 hours/semester and are for credit only.

Interns will work in both our TV studio as well as assisting in in-field shoots. Some examples of tasks: Set-up, break-down and operation of studio cameras and other TV equipment for a variety of shoots such as Town Government Meetings, Sporting Events and Talk Shows, Making tape and DVD transfers, Assisting with data entry for Community Calendar, Encoding programming into server.

In addition to these duties the 240 hour internship would require an independent project that would be proposed by the intern and air on the station upon completion.

Producer: Community members are also encouraged to become LCTV producers and make their own shows or video tape local events to air on LCTV. To become a producer you must complete training on equipment necessary for your production. The amount of training may vary depending on the nature and scope of your project. A $50 fee covers all necessary training.
