Longmeadow Community Television exists to give the public access to the communication medium of television and to teach the proper use of the equipment and proper television techniques.
The public includes all individuals who live, work, or have taxpayer status in the Town of Longmeadow, and to all organized groups with offices in Longmeadow – such as schools, hospitals, government agencies, non-profit organizations and fraternal groups.
Individuals and organizations may utilize the training, equipment, and support of staff to produce programming for playback on the access channels subject to LCTV’s rules and regulations.
The purposes and powers of LCTV are set forth in the Articles of Organization for Public Access Cable Television of Longmeadow, Inc. files with the Office of the Secretary of State of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The details of corporate governance and organization of LCTV are set forth in the By-Laws of Public Access Cable Television of Longmeadow, Inc. Copies of the Articles and By-Laws are available from the corporate Secretary upon request. The access corporation is financed by a percentage of the profits earned by Comcast of Longmeadow, program underwriting, sponsorship, producers’ fees, and donations.
